Help Wanted


Have you ever wondered what it would be like to help out with a large website like EQ2 LQGaming? Here's your chance! EQ2 LQGaming is currently looking for individuals to volunteer their services to better the EverQuest II community. Because these are volunteer positions it takes a special kind of person to do this. We don't get special treatment or elite developer info. We do this for the love of the game and experience in the gaming industry. All positions look great on a resume and are a great way to make gaming industry contacts. News Reporter - As a News Reporter your primary duty will be making sure patch notes, official announcements and community events are posted in a news format in a timely manner. This is a volunteer position and will require anywhere from 1 to 3 hours per week.


Columnist - If you like to blog, this might be perfect position for you. As a Columnist you will be responsible for writing a bi-weekly column focused on a topic or theme. This column can be a rant, humorous, journal, informational or whatever else you can come up with. Interested applicants please include your idea for a column. This is a volunteer position and will require anywhere from 1 to 3 hours per week depending on your writing style.


Raid Correspondent - In order to be a Raid correspondent you need to be a hardcore raider. Your guild must raid at least 4 days a week and your attendance needs to be very good within that guild. Your primary duty will be taking raid screenshots and writing raid strategy guides. You must be able to run on at least High Quality settings for screenshots quality purposes. This is a volunteer position and will require you to raid . A LOT! :)


Artist - As an Artist your primary duties will be doing art projects as assigned. These assignments can happen once or twice a week and sometimes not at all. Common assignments include banners, backgrounds, maps and buttons. If you're artistic and like to try new things, this is a really fun position. This is a volunteer position and will require 1-3 hours a week. Please send an art sample with your inquiry.


Database - Our EverQuest II database is arguably the best around. If you like doing quests and like to share your work after you have finished one this may be a good position for you. EverQuest II is constantly changing and thus we need our data mining team to be able to keep up with these changes. This is a volunteer position and would require 1-10 hours per week. Forum Moderator - As a moderator, your primary responsibility is to enforce the Rules of Conduct. Secondary duties include participating in discussions, answering questions, and mediating if problems arise. This position is volunteer and requires you to have a basic knowledge of forum tools. It is also necessary for those interested that they be able to check the forums regularly. This is a volunteer position and will require 2-6 hours a week.


Guide Writer - As a Guide Writer your responsibilities will include keeping guide data up to date, writing new guides as needed, and collecting game data. For this position you should possess excellent writing skills. It is important that you are able to concisely relay information to the public in a step-by-step basis. This is a volunteer position and will require 1-4 hours per week.


Writer - As a writer you will be on assignment. You will have freedom to propose writing projects but many will be assigned to you. Ever wanted to take a crack at gaming journalism? This is your chance! This is a volunteer position and will require 2-4 hours every couple of weeks.
