Lord of the Rings Online Summary
May 22, 1:04PM
Staff Writer Debbie "TucksMa" Barnaby brings us the latest from Turbine's title Lord of the Rings Online:
The E3 Demo consisted for the most part of a run-through of the human newbie area. If you play a character from the race of Men, this is where you'll start. And because it is the race of Men, there is a bit of action involved. I was assured that combat is not the focus of the game. Read More

May 22, 2005 8:45AM
Staff Writer Mathew "Berek" Anderson takes us into the upcoming Dark & Light Online MMORPG:
...there are games out there that still take unique views towards the concept that set it apart from the rest, and thus survive the booming market. Today I found one such massive multiplayer online game in the very bowels of E3 in lower level Kentia Hall called Dark and Light. Produced in Europe but when released it will also be available also in the U.S., and Asia. Read More
WoW at E3
May 20, 2005 7:13 PM
Staff Writer Debbie "TucksMa" Barnaby gives us a look at WoW at the E3 expo.
The Blizzard booth in the Vivendi Universal area at E3 2005 was, in a word, loud. They didn't have a ton of space but they made very good use of it. A huge screen showcasing World of Warcraft and Starcraft Ghost overwhelmed it all in sight and sound. In the WoW area, about a dozen terminals allowed attendees to play Battlegrounds in Warsong Gulch.

May 20, 2005 5:05 PM

E3 Play Test: Phantasy Star Universe
May 20, 2005 2:06PM
Staff Writer Eric "sevenchaos" Rawdin has up a review and a play test of Phantasy Star Universe by the Sonic Team:
As I walked in to SEGA's booth my palms began to sweat. I was in awe at how much was going on. There seemed to be a certain amount of chaos and as I walked over to the Phantasy Star Universe (PSU) demo units everything around me began to fade. I picked up the usb controller and hit the start button.
EQ2 Station Exchange Info
May 20, 2005 1:28PM
Staff Writer Ariel "Leonai_art" Spaulding has the scoop on the EQ2 Station Exchange after sitting down and speaking with a representative from Sony Online Entertainment. A snipet below:
Upon creation, or transfer, of an account that is set to be on a server with Station Exchange enabled, the player will be asked to enter in not only a credit card, but also a paypal account. The credit card information is a standard feature that all SOE games require, but the paypal is something that players have never in the past, been required to have to play their games.
Tabula Rasa Q&A
May 20, 2005 12:48AM
Staff Writer Sean "ConerVallore" Neubert has up a great Q&A for those wanting to know more about Tabula Rasa. A snipet below:
Q: Vehicles are mentioned in the Features of the game, but will humans be able to take control of and drive vehicles?
Good question, at this time there are no human vehicles that players can use, however the devs have talked about adding such a system possibly in the future. Its unlikely that we will see player vehicles before the games release.

As you begin to create your character, you'll be able to choose not only his/her look but his/her personality as well.
Preview: Lord of the Rings Online
May 19, 2005 5:25PM
Staff Writer, Debbie "TucksMa" Barnaby gives us a preview of Turbine's Lord of the Rings Online:
After a good amount of time watching Harry, Senior Production Designer, go through the n00bie zone demo, I can safely and confidently say that Turbine is indeed on the right track. In Turbine's vision, Middle-earth is a beautifully designed place. The town of Archet shown in the demo is convincing as a small rural town of Men.

The E3 Experience
May 19, 2005 2:09PM
Staff Writer Ariel "Leonai_art" Spaulding reports on the E3 Experience:
Los Angeles, a city of sunshine and palm trees, guys telling jokes on bikes for a little bit of cash and a city that just keeps growing, is the place where E3 was established many years ago.. Between multiple buildings is one of the largest conventions in the continental United States, and it's absolutely unimaginable.

May 19, 2005 11:18AM

When I first arrived at the TR booth I was amazed at some of the in game footage that was going on around us. So much has changed over the last year that it's hard to say where to begin. First off the game plays much like any single player 3rd person action/shooter game would.
